Lingham’s Little Acorns

Lingham’s Little Acorns:

This is our 2 Year Olds Provision and has 1 session per day, each session has the capacity for 10 children.

Afternoon Session: 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm

We are proud to offer a dedicated space for our two-year-olds that has been thoughtfully designed to meet their needs and support their early learning journey. This provision provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can begin to explore, grow, and develop at their own pace.

A Space Just for Them

Our two-year-olds have a carefully planned curriculum that covers all the early areas of development set out in the Foundation stage. The environment is calm, stimulating, and tailored to their age and stage, helping them feel secure as they take their first steps into education.

Learning Through Play

At this stage, children learn best through play. Our provision is filled with opportunities for hands-on exploration, sensory experiences, and imaginative play. These activities help children develop curiosity, independence, and confidence while laying strong foundations for their future learning.

Positive Relationships

Children thrive in the company of caring adults who understand their needs. Our staff provide consistent support, encouragement, and warmth, building strong and trusting relationships. This also helps children to develop friendships, share experiences, and learn how to play and interact with others.

Rich Daily Experiences

Each day is full of meaningful learning opportunities:

  • Songs and rhymes that support language development.

  • Stories that spark imagination and encourage listening skills.

  • Role play and modelling that help children understand routines and relationships.

  • Exploration of the world around them to develop awareness and curiosity.

Preparing for the Next Step

Our two-year-old provision lays the groundwork for a smooth and successful transition into the Foundation one (Nursery) class. By developing confidence, independence, and early learning skills, children are well-prepared to take the next step in their educational journey.
