History
At Lingham, we aim for a high quality, bespoke History curriculum with the aim to provoke our pupil’s curiosity and fascination about Britain’s past and that of the wider world and how it has impacted on the modern world.
Our History curriculum helps primary pupils develop a sense of curiosity about the past and an understanding of how it shapes the world we live in today. Through engaging stories, key historical events, and the lives of significant people, children learn about local, national, and global history in an age-appropriate way. The curriculum encourages pupils to ask questions, think critically about evidence, and understand similarities and differences between past and present. By exploring history through discussion, role play, timelines, and hands-on activities, we aim to inspire a lifelong interest in learning about the past and to help children build a strong sense of identity and respect for others.
