We absolutely LOVED building our dens to support Save the Children and International Den Day.  Our class had a great time in the forest area and we think our dens look really good.

Lovely Lighthouses by 2J, by Miss Jones

WOW!  Look at our lovely Lighthouses, inspired by Mr Grinling and made by 2J.  First we had to build the lighthouse model using a plastic bottle, newspaper and lots of tape!  Then we decorated our models with tissue paper.  Finally, we built a circuit to put inside.

Year 5 were enthralled by Karma's stories about his experiences as a refugee from Tibet. He told them all about his incredible journey. The children showed maturity, compassion and empathy.

The children participated in Health Week by making funny salad faces at snack time.  The Little Lions explored different ways of excercising to keep healthy, which included crawling, climbing, sliding and rolling in the gym.

Last week we discussed the importance of healthy eating and what healthy food looks like.

We talked about lots of different fruits and vegetables and how they support our growth and keeping our body and teeth healthy. 

On Friday, we finished the week by trying some new fruits and vegetables!

As part of national super hero day, the children of F1 dressed up as their very own super hero!

We were so impressed with their costumes and they had each thought of a super power they could use to save people!
